The inaugural Faversham Classic Car Rally started with fifty five vehicles covering a wide range of both classic and modern sport cars. We had vehicles from across the South East including London, Sussex, Essex, Berkshire, and Cambridgeshire. It was a sight not previously seen in the town with four columns of cars on the grid awaiting the start. Tea and coffee was at hand for the crews after registering their arrival and collecting their event documents.
The first stage covered a forty mile route over the North Downs with a pit-stop for refreshments. After a second route of similar distance we stopped for a hog roast lunch at the Godmersham Village hall. Following lunch we had a short run back to Faversham for the awards ceremony officiated by the Mayor of Faversham.

"Thank you for a great day in Kent.. I thought I knew Kent quite well. And I guess I don't! Sorry that we missed the prize giving as the brakes on the mini were at most not too good. Looking forward to next year with better brakes."
